Lola Okulo

Co-Founder, TACT Communications Ltd

I believe in simplicity both in the way I write and execute assignments. I also believe in giving it my best shot for the stuff I care about whether it is family, jobs, consultant projects or relationships in general.  Everyone is good at something. Interacting with people from all walks of life and the sports community has taught me so much. Here are some of the things I have learnt along my career journey: I can work with, interact and lead projects that include people from all walks of life. My Versatility and  ability to meet people at whatever level they are at, for the success of a project or assignment, is based on my firm belief that human beings are God's and an organization's greatest assets and should be treated as such.  I have had some pretty cool jobs which gave me opportunities to meet and work on some amazing community projects and amazing story-telling including with English Premier League clubs such as Everton and Arsenal. Just as cool as these projects were, so were the learnings earned teaming up with such experienced clubs in the sporting world. In these days of digital first in news and information sharing, people hardly care what you have to say, unless it solves a problem or addresses an issue they are facing. Content is indeed king but so is purpose of that content. Simplicity and the 'so what' are very key to how I present my story-telling. Even with vast experience, I am excited to learn new things each day. In my exposure working for international companies over the last decade, I delight in new ways of doing things, learning different cultures and how they relate to my work; and growing my network across the globe.  I have overseen and led projects across many countries in Africa such as Ghana, Rwanda, Sierra Leonne among others. The more I travel the more the world of sports (with a bias towards women in sports), community improvement projects and iGaming tugs at my heartstrings A strong believer in work-life balance. I give my best in environments that accord me this.

Fisayo Oke

Chief Executive Officer , Gamble Alert

Africa’s gaming markets are expanding rapidly, but governance frameworks have not kept pace. The social cost of gambling-related harm is accumulating in families, schools, and health systems, while regulators and operators often lack timely data, tested frameworks, and clinically grounded tools to intervene effectively. I am the Founder and CEO of Gamble Alert, an Africa-focused prevention–research–treatment ecosystem that helps governments, regulators, and gaming operators manage gambling not as a moral issue, but as a policy-managed social risk. Our work sits at the intersection of public health, regulation, and market oversight, translating real-world harm into actionable systems. Gamble Alert operates across Nigeria and is expanding regionally. We deliver: -Prevention that is youth-facing, population-level, and media-embedded -Research grounded in clinical data and policy relevance -Treatment through structured counselling, case management, and teletherapy What differentiates our approach is integration. Prevention, research, and treatment operate as feedback loops: clinical data informs policy, policy shapes safeguards, and safeguards reduce downstream harm. This is how gambling harm becomes predictable, measurable, and preventable. Selected outcomes (2025): -3,000+ young people reached through prevention programmes -500+ clinical cases managed, with 93% reporting symptom reduction -10,000+ inbound support calls processed -Engagement across 6 Nigerian states on responsible gambling activity -Convened Nigeria’s first national Responsible Gambling Symposium I work with regulators, gaming operators, international funders, and institutions shaping policy narratives around gaming and digital risk. My focus is advising on governance frameworks, building responsible-gaming systems, overseeing clinical and research infrastructure, and producing evidence that informs legislation and long-term decision-making.

Apollo Eric

Founder, BitLipa

Apollo Eric is a technologist, entrepreneur, speaker and mentor from Nairobi, Kenya. He is founder of Point50 Capital and BitLipa, both crypto exchange platforms that democratize capital access for Africa’s 65 million MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises). MSMEs in Africa's informal sector account for 80% of businesses and 90% of jobs in emerging markets. Apollo’s primary focus is social impact, and he believes that hope is the most powerful currency. He defines hope as Hanging On to Positive Expectation and sees firsthand every day how reliable access to working capital—through cryptocurrency—has brought hope to 66,000+ unbanked businesses, offering many families stability and a future. Having lost his father early, Apollo grew up watching close family members try unsuccessfully to obtain working capital without prior credit history. He studied biotechnology, IT and Forex trading, operated a bitcoin trading desk, and launched his first exchange Point50 Capital, before deciding to turn his childhood observations into an opportunity for social impact. Could cryptocurrency solve the funding crisis for unbanked entrepreneurs across Africa’s informal sector, powering their corner shops, laundries, bicycle delivery services and more? With that question, BitLipa was born.  Apollo Eric’s groundbreaking app provides African MSMEs with easy access to working capital, without credit history, while simultaneously opening their economy to investors worldwide. Built on Polygon, BitLipa keeps costs and transaction fees low, which allows for a high volume of micro-transactions with capital primarily from the USA. Lending is done through a USDC pool, and business owners can seek and repay capital daily. Apollo is also working on innovative tools that enable BitLipa users to borrow more, build alternative credit scores based on repayment history, and prove creditworthiness without a bank account. He is also keen to tokenize real-world assets and bring data and insights from millions of street-corner transactions on-chain.

Gamble Alert

Lola Okulo

TACT Communications Ltd

Apollo Eric

BitLipa
